Hilltop Lakes Golf Course

The 18-hole course at Hilltop Lakes features 6,330 yards of golf for a par of 72. With a course rating of 70.4 and a slope rating of 115 on Bermuda grass, the course offers a scenic and challenging game as rolling fairways are lined with towering oak trees intermersed with lakes and sand traps. There are no green fees for members of the Property Owners Association of Hilltop Lakes and, while a private course, guest and visitors of the hotel/villas and campgrounds may enjoy the course for nominal green fees for guest of Property Owners of $25.00 per 18 holes during the week and $35.00 per 18 during the weekend. Green fees for Property Owner guest are $20.00 and $30.00 respectively. There are numerous tournaments played at Hilltop Lakes through out the year and guests are always advised, though not required, to call in advance for a tee time. Property Owners who choose to use their own golf carts may upon registering their golf cart and satisfying the $200.00 annual trail fee. In addition, Hilltop Lakes offers a 12 post driving range and two putting greens.

Lakes

(Lake Tonkawa, Lake Cherokee, Lake Swan, Kickapoo Lake and Mirror Lake)

There are five private lakes for enjoyment at Hilltop Lakes. All lakes are available year round with NO fishing license required for Property Owners or their guests. All lakes are stocked with largemouth Bass, Catfish, Perch and more. Multiple piers are located through out the lakes. Lake Tonkawa is the only lake where swimming is allowed and offers a park and beach area for bathers. Only Property Owner boats are allowed on the lakes. All boats must be registered at the POA at no cost to the property owner.

HTL Airstrip and Aviation Community

Hilltop Lakes owns its own airstrip that serves all Property Owners and visitors as well as being the center of Hilltop's Aviation community. With a width of 40 feet and 3,000 feet in length, the paved asphalt runway with landing lights is ideal for privately owned aircraft up to light duel engine. A newly constructed Pilots Lounge is located on the South end of the field and the airstrip is within walking distance to the primary amenities of Hilltop Lakes to include the hotel, lodge and restaurant. There is no control tower and it is a land at your own risk runway. Tie down pads as well as a helio-port is located at the South West end of the runway near the pilots lounge. Hilltop Lakes host an annual fly-in where over two hundred private and experimental aircraft converge for good food, entertainment and prizes.

Accommodations

(Mirror Lake Inn, Hillside Villas, Owner-Rentals)

Accommodations are available for all visitors to Hilltop Lakes. Property Owners enjoy significantly discounted rates to both Mirror Lake Inn and Hillside Villas. Mirror Lake Inn offers double full and king size single bedrooms with microwave and refrigerators available. The Hillside Villas are two bedroom accommodations complete with a living area and kitchen. Continental breakfast is served to all guests from 6am to 9am at the Mirror Lake Inn. Guest are urged to reserve villas as far in advance as possible as they are often pre-booked especially from May through September. Guest are issued a visitors pass that enables their use of all amenities of Hilltop Lakes. Non-Property Owner guests will be required to pay appropriate green fees. Swimming Pool/Teen Center

Perhaps the most famous landmark at Hilltop Lakes is the large swimming pool that’s designed in the shape of the Lone Star State. The pool and teen center are in close proximity to the Lodge and offers all visitors a relaxing outing. Over looking Swan and Kickapoo Lakes and set next to green sloping hills the pool area offers deck chairs and loungers as well as a wading pool for the young of heart and age. Enjoy the evening twilight at the pool or a nighttime swim as the pool hours during the summer extend from 10:00 am until 10:00 pm. The pool opens on the weekends the first of May and stays open seven days a week from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

The teen center, located next to the pool offers foosball and a variety of other games in addition to a snack bar for refreshments.

Campground/Parks

Offering both campsites and full utility hook ups for RVs and campers, Hilltops newly renovated campsite can make roughing it down right civilized. The Campgrounds consists of 37 RV sites, 20 Tent sites and Comfort Lodge with full restroom, shower and clothes washer and dryer facilities. The Campground area also provides a courtesy phone and covered Pavilion for family or group gatherings. In addition, Hilltop Lakes offers several park areas to include the Lake Tonkawa Park with swimmers beach, fishing pier and boat ramp. All park areas have barbeque grills, picnic tables, some covered and several to include two with child playgrounds.

Stables

The equine facilities include a 30 stall horse barn, horse walker, four pastures for turn out with loafing sheds, exercise track and lighted arena with roping pens. All horses are privately owned and cared for. The Hilltop Lakes Equine Management Corporation does not provide horses for rent or trail rides. However, they do provide hayrides for family reunions and parties.

Tennis

Tennis players need only bring their racket and balls to enjoy a game of tennis on one of two tennis courts that is maintained at Hilltop Lakes. There is no cost to use the courts for either Property Owners or guests. Balls and rackets are available for check out at the Hilltop Lakes Welcome Center.

Miniature Golf / Volley-Ball / Horse Shoes

Property Owners and guests may enjoy the outdoors at Hilltop Lakes by honing their skills at the Miniature Golf course. Open seven days a week guests may use their own putters or check out equipment for play at the Welcome Center. If team sports is more your game Property Owners and guests have use of Hilltop’s sand volleyball court. In addition, there are three Horseshoe lanes to demonstrate ones prowess at throwing steel on target. Equipment for all the above amenities may be checked out at the Welcome Center.
